RevoPR Posted September 30, 2010 Share Posted September 30, 2010 (edited) For immediate release: Revolution is pleased to announce the addition of Ron Ellis to the 2011 Educational and Design staff. Ron has accepted the new role of Brass Caption Supervisor and will work to help contribute to the 2011 design and help establish a new level of excellence for our brass program. Ron Ellis is currently the director of the new University of Texas San Antonio Marching Band and Assistant Director of Bands. In addition to the marching band, Ellis will lead the UTSA pep band and off-season will teach music and conducting. Ellis joins UTSA from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where as a band director, drill designer and instructor since 1990, he led the 308-member UCF Marching Knights. Ron was also the Caption Head an Program Coordinator for Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps since 2006. Ellis also was band choreographer, conductor or adviser for the ABC television series "Coach," the HBO series "From the Earth to the Moon," Epcot Center's 20th Anniversary Celebration, the Universal Pictures feature film "Sydney White" and the "Disney's Very Merry Christmas Parade" ABC television special. Ellis will continue to serve as a music director at Walt Disney Attractions Entertainment in Orlando. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in music performance from UCF and a master of music degree in wind and orchestral conducting from the University of South Florida in Tampa. We are still accepting applicants to help round out the last few spots for the remainder of the brass staff. stay posted as we announce more new staff additions for 2011!
