SunRunner Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 The Long Island Sunrisers Drum & Bugle Corps is now accepting applications for the position of Drum Major for the 2011 season. Candidates should be aware that the role of Drum Major is not just about the glory of leading the corps into competition, saluting the crowd and conducting the ensemble. That is only the PUBLIC view of what a good Drum Major does. The candidates should be aware that the role includes many more responsibilities, all which will all be discussed once the application process begins. There will be leadership training as well as training in conducting available for any interested candidates. If you think you have what it takes to be a true leader and help to lead the 2011 Sunrisers, please submit a letter of interest and include thoughts about what being Drum Major of the 2011 Sunrisers would mean to you and what you would offer to bring to the role.
