Long Island would be an excellent site if a concerted effort could be organized to support such an undertaking. There ARE a couple of great locations, Stony Brook being one of them, that would served DCA well. That, plus great restaurants, the beaches etc. would provide plenty of non-drum corps entertainment. Having said that, Williamsport has the desire and great people backing their show and I and the Sunrisers look forward to competing their in 2018 and 2019!

A number of our members have college classes on Monday. While they would have stayed if we we competing or if we had gone on first (as we have in the past) I could not in good conscience hold them until 10:30. With that, I did not want to perform with holes in the the corps.

Saw the Brassmen at the South Hampton July 4th parade this year - they looked and sounded good! Congratulations on 29 years!

They will hopefully be gone shortly after they are sold - if the buyer needs time to pick up I'm sure we could work something out.
