I smell a rat.the damage is done now

Hey, wait! I see that Al Chez was a DCI judge in East Rutherford as this is THE Al Chez who is a trumpet player for David Letterman's band. He marched with Garfield 81/82.

He's not a "real" judge as apparently this is one of those Tournament of Champions (TOC) experiments. See DCI is experimenting with judging at these TOC events and apparently it is not working very well.

Al Chez not only put Cadets first in Music GE, but he put BD in 5th, 0.7 down. That pretty much sealed the deal for Cadets at East Rutherford.

I don't understand judging in general anymore. In East Rutherford BD took 1st in Visual GE and Vis DESIGN. It's a really ####ed up recap.

Cavaliers were 0.6 down from BD in Vis GE and 0.4 down in design, yet only 0.2 ahead of Phantom in both captions. WTF?? This is a real injustice and it needs to stop.

Other judging seems inconsistent at best as that could be a good thing if judges are finally ignoring recaps, but I think something more tawdry is happening. Boston 0.2 down from SCV, then 2 points at the next show and same kind of thing with Troopers/Glassmen.

Have the judges finally figured out that one person can control the placings if they make the spreads wide enough in their caption? The good news is that with the scores all over the place, nothing is certain in Indy because we go to the a 10-person slate of real judges for all three shows. Throw the TOC crap out the window.

Im definitely not liking this new judging sheet. And i'm nost saying that just because im a Cavalier fan. I honestly do not believe Cadets and BD are 2 points better than the Cavaliers. That's just absurd.

Yeah i agree with the placements right now, but that kind of spread is unheard of. Especially in that short amount of time.
