Gene Garrett's sister Chris has a request for his memorial: I wonder if a couple of guys from the snare line might want to bring their drums and do a little memorial presentation. We will make time for that. This is the details on the memorial: Please join family and friends of Gene Garrett on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Normandy Banquet Room, Elmhurst American Legion Hall, 310 W. Butterfield Road (at Spring), Elmhurst from noon to 4:00pm for a celebration of his life. Bring your memories, friends, pictures, and instruments.
