bthsds2002 Posted May 9, 2013 Share Posted May 9, 2013 Council Rock HS South, from Holland, PA is seeking to grow its Percussion Staff for the 2013 marching season. We are looking for percussion instructors to help establish the training program for the battery and the pit. There could also be writing opportunities for the right person(s). We are especially interested in those who specialize in the upper battery. Candidates should keep current in the marching arts, either as a recent performer or staff member in DCI or DCA, or be an avid fan and follower of Drum Corps. WGI experience in percussion is a plus. A passion and a real need to teach marching band in an absolute must! South has been a great festival band in its first 10 years. In 2012 we attended our first-ever Cavalcade contest placing 3rd out of 7 in the Yankee division, and 3rd overall out of 23. Last year, we marched 5 Snares, 2 Tenors, 5 Bass Drums and 3 Cymbals. In 2013 South will explore US bands, and Cavalcade while keeping some of our favorite festivals on the schedule.
