To help keep the front page 'tidy' this time of year with so much going on, we'll combine a few of our current events into a single thread.

For 2014, Carolina Gold is pleased to present the following show announcement trailer . . .

All Caption Heads and music arrangers for 2014 are returning staff members from the 2013 campaign.

Notable additions in consultant roles include . . .

Jay Webb - Design Consultant - Jay Webb joins Carolina Gold as a Design Consultant for the 2014 season. Jay has been the Director of Bands at Avon High School in Avon, Indiana since 1993. In that time, the Avon Band has consistently been at the forefront of the scholastic pageantry activity. Avon is recognized as one of the premier band programs in the Midwest. All aspects of the Band program strive to achieve at the highest national levels with participation in Winterguard International, Bands of America, and Indiana State School Music Association events. Webb brings a variety of experiences ranging with performances with the Bridgemen Drum and Bugle Corps from Bayonne, New Jersey to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

John Weber - Percussion Consultant - Jon Weber is visiting instructor of percussion at the Michigan State University College of Music, where he teaches applied percussion lessons, percussion ensemble, salsa band, and the award-winning Michigan State Drumline. He has presented clinics throughout the United States, and in the summer of 2012 presented clinics and a recital in Colombia. He has served as a panel clinician at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention multiple times.

Wayne Bovenschen - Percussion Consultant - Wayne Bovenschen has served as Assistant Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Percussion at OSU for 26 years. In this capacity, he is the Assistant Director of the OSU Marching Band, directs the Spirit Band, Concert and Marching Percussion Ensembles, studio lessons, percussion techniques class, and is co-sponsor of the Alpha Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. A graduate of Michigan State University, Mr. Bovenschen holds a B.M. in Education and an M.M. in Applied Percussion.
