wells84
For those interested in auditioning for the Army bands, or other military bands, here are some important links: http://www.eustis.army.mil/SOM/pai.pdf This is the percussion information package. It contains all the audition requirements and the solo listings. Do yourself a favor and do not deviate from the list. They have a scoring system set up on a 4 point scale. You only need a 2.3 to get accepted in the Army but you'll need a 2.7 to graduate from the School of Music. You should realistically be at at least a 2.7 when you initially audition. Strive to play solos that are at least 3.0 or higher. Play all scales and rudiments at the 3.0 speed or higher.
