kusankusho
I put new heads and re-muffled using self adhesive insulation strips applied in a circle on the inside of the heads this weekend. The drums sound great from 15 or so feet away, but when you are rignt on top of them there is a distinct ring. Any suggestions on cutting down the "close proximity" ring without messing up the "long distance" sound?
NickM
I have used Remo muffles - They go on the inside of the heads. I'm not sure if you can get any bigger than 24" though. My bass line is 16", 18", 20", 22", 24" and they project fairly well. Hope this helps. DrThunder
try spacing them out n only use four on a head.... i ve found that the humidity makes them ring real bad.... but if its cool u dont need ear plugs... evans or remo should be the same system.
