ManchesterMuchacho
The Manchester Muchachos would like to announce an open rehearsal on Sunday, Sept. 25th from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Boys & Girls Club, in Manchester, NH (555 Union Street). The Muchachos are a Senior corps open to ages 14+. Please visit our website for more information, Manchester Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corps. The Muchachos are preparing to start off their 2006 season with a stand still performance at America's Hometown Celebration in Plymouth, MA. The Muchachos have a long history originally formed as part of the Manchester Boys and Girls Club in the 1960's. The Muchachos are looking to expand their membership and fan base beyond central New Hampshire and have some exciting plans for 2006. Originally formed by the founding director as a clone of the world famous Hawthorne Caballeros, the Muchachos are looking to strike out their own identity in the drums corps community. This hopefully means new uniforms in the somewhat near future that will uniquely identify the Muchachos but still retain it's Latin style. Also in the works are plans for a competing Mini-Corps. The Muchachos have an extremely family friendly atmosphere and have many parent/child combinations in it's membership. If you have a youngster that may be too young for a touring Div I/II/III corp or would like to keep a job during the summer or want to see what drum & bugle corps is about, you should check us out. We try to appeal to all generations of drum corps members/fans and play music styled from the 1960's through now. The planned repetoire for 2006 is expected to be. The Lonely Bull La Copa De La Vida Amparito Roca Liberty Bell March Brazil Land of Make Believe Theme from the Movie "Z" If you're interested in the Muchachos please see our website (linked above) or e-mail our director Al Gagne at director@muchachos.org

ManchesterMuchacho
DCA Class A has been discussed in the past. Right now, the corps would like to grow in size first before opting to compete. Currently we're about as big as some Class A corps but probably like to see it grow first before making the plunge. Baby steps of course, I think I've heard some members say 8 to 5, one 22 1/2 inch step at a time. If you'd like to see this corps compete sooner than later, come and join the fun.
