Gregory Bruce contributed the current Fanfare column and it's a great read for all who wish to know a little more about drum corps in the days prior to DCI. All submissions for future Fanfare columns are welcomed. If you have a story to share, please drop me a line or send something to boomike@dci.org. Many thanks and happy reading. Nice article on a fine Corps. St. Rita's Brassmen ironically was the single most resistent Corps to joining the newly formed DCI back in the infancy of DCI. They were opposed to it's stated goals. They declined DCI invitations to join DCI on a number of occassions in the beginning of DCI. Those who were present at the time will confirm this statement. Glad to see this fine Corps get their props now on the DCI Board over there. Edited August 6, 2006 by X DM
