Wildwood, NJ shows in 2007 - Your choice!

Hey, everyone - For those of you who either have seen the DCA season opener at the Wildwoods Convention Center the last couple of years, the Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni Beach Party Fall show, or the fantastic Jersey Surf DCI home show last July at historic Maxwell Field - or those of you who might like to attend one of those shows next season, the Mayor of Wildwood, Ernie Troiano, has asked me to post a poll to gage your opinions about a couple of show possibilities.

First of all, some news: The Wildwoods Doo Wop era icon, the Surfside Restaurant, was saved from demolition in Wildwood Crest and is about to reopen in Fox Park, directly across the street from the Convention Center. It will house the new Doo Wop museum (The Wildwoods is the Doo Wop era capital of the world as well as the rightful birthplace of Rock and Roll), the Neon sign garden and a bandshell for summer in the park type concerts. This might be a great place to hold small corps shows or individuals in connection with a larger corps show at the Convention Center. Pic. of the new facility under construction:

The city has also ordered about 1000 additional new and higher bleacher seats at Maxwell Field for next season so there won't be so many lawn chairs needed (although we all had a great time at the last Jersey Surf show). And the mayor is reversing the field so the press box and home side will be back on the west side of the field, closer to the rest rooms, hot dog stand, and busses.
