Hello, all - The Mayor of Wildwood has asked me to post a poll to gage everyone's opinions on next season's shows in the Wildwoods. There will be quite a lot of new possibilities beginning next season.

First of all, the Wildwoods' historic Doo Wop styled Surfside Restaurant was saved from demolition and is being reconstructed at Fox Park, directly across the street from the Convention Center where it will become the new home of the Doo Wop museum, Neon Sign Garden and a brand new bandshell. The bandshell might offer the future possibility of holding summer in the park type shows for small corps or individuals competition in connection with larger events at the convention center across the street. So far, nothing like this has been planned, but the potential for the future is there. See photo below:

Also, if you attended last July's Jersey Surf home show at historic Maxwell Field and chose to bring your own lawn chair, you'll be glad to know that the Mayor has ordered about 1000 new and higher bleacher seats for next season. He also wants to reverse the field, putting the home side and the press box on the west side of the field, closer to the restrooms, hot dog stand, and the busses.

Well, that's the general drum corps news for now. If you would, please take the poll above adn help the city and show sponsors determine what you might like to see for shows next season.

Thanks - Thom F. B)
