Piper
Contra's are a great instrument, and they really pump some sound into the show. I never could carry one though. I was way too small.

While contras may be big and fairly heavy, with only a couple of exceptions, the balance is such that they're actually easier on the arms than a euph and some big-bore baris. Besides, we get to set them down often enough. Long parades are really the only time that carrying a contra is likely to get annoying. Having been a snare drummer, I always admired our Contra players - but I never envied them. :P
