Opening the show will be the two-time defending DCA world champion Reading Buccaneers from Reading, PA, who celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2007. The Bucs won the all-age world titles in 2005 and 2006 with undefeated seasons, and have opened the 2007 journey in grand style, posting wins in their first two contests, with an ambitious program entitled BLUE ERA, featuring: New Era Dance, by Aaron Jay Kernis The Promise of Living, from The Tender Land, by Aaron Copland Danza Final (Malambo), from Estancia, by Alberto Ginastera Rhapsody in Blue, by George Gershwin The clip below, while a bit dated (for that we apologize), contains excerpts from New Era Dance and Rhapsody in Blue, recorded at the corps mini-camp rehearsal on Sunday, February 18. At the end of the day, I think we'll be able to say that the 2007 Buccaneers were superior to the 2006 Buccaneers, so we think you'll like the show!
