I agree. My high school use to use Remo heads for everything and then we decided one year to make the switch to Evans... It was nice! The guy that played tenors loved them!!!

We had a few issues throughout the show...primarily lost connectivity. It was better than Annapolis (obviously) and is still a work in progress. I'm totally pleased with this year's service versus last year's. The quality of the stream is so much better this year and Dan Potter's Field Pass Live is a really neat addition. I wish they would do something in between corps performances though...I've seen this mentioned on here before a few times.

I saw the Buccaneers last year up in Allentown and was totally impressed. I plan on seeing them this weekend...definitely looking forward to it!!

I have heard a lot about SCV this year, but I have not seen them in person yet, but given what I've already seen thus far... 1. Phantom 2. Cadets 3. Cavies I liked what each did, but I think the demand of Phantom and The Cadets separates them somewhat from The Cavies. Plus I was more impressed with PR's basses (as usual) and The Cadets snares.

I've always played on Yamaha drums. I like the the sound of Yamaha drums better than Dynasty ones. I think you can articulate more one a Yamaha drum than on a Dynasty. There are also a lot of nice harness options too with Yamaha drums- we had decent harnesses when I played. I was recently at a drum corps show and noticed how nice Yamaha and Pearl drums sounded over Dynasty. When it all comes down to it though, it's personal preference...

When I read this post the first thing that came to mind for me was The Cadets 2000!!!! The snare feature is niiiice! I see however, you already have that one the list! Good call!

The Reel Feel pads come in both single side and double side. I have not seen single sides that you can attach to one that you already have. I personally own a double sided one. You might want to look into exchanging it for a double sided one! They are SO NICE! You can find them online.
