2002 - Jazz-Music Made in America, Most underrated BD show ever. It's almost always forgotten in discussions of great BD shows. I think people forgot how much they had to tweak that show to get it right. They almost got beat by Crossmen early in the season.

I love the music!

2000- Methods of Madness.....wow! Loved it! Cadets and Cavies just had to pick that year to have 2 of the most memorable shows in DCI history.....otherwise, another ring for BD.

2006- The Godfather - This was my favorite show in 2006. I have never picked BD before as my favorite show of any year...but that year it was BD all the way for me.

2003 - Great Championship show. I really enjoyed it. Great great hornline that year.

2001- Odd selection fo music, but it was well done. I really forget about this show alot. I should go rewatch it.

2004- Train show.....like 2001, it was a good show but not one of my faves.

2007 - The beginning was great, but the rest left me flat. I was really underwhelmed by 2007 and surprised by the championship honestly. I guess we can admit the kids can perform anything at an extremely high level.

2005- YOWZA!!!

Not too keen on what they did with Channel One Suite in '02, but in general, yeah...the Blue Devils have rocked the house throughout the decade; and it looks like they're on their way to another title this year.

BD 2001 was one of the first shows that really turned me on to the activity. Especially the fast swing section. I know I snob out on this board a bit, but who can't love the trumpet soloist they had 2000-2003 (I think it was Jeff Lynn?), great stuff.

I think I should include 1999...for good measure

I agree, from seeing all the top corps thus far. This is only my opinion of course, but this is the only design that's really caught my interest. It'll probably be them and Cavies fighting for the top spot as usual.

Jeff Lynn was awesome! I love 2004's train show, and the Godfather in 2006. I fell away from DCI until I heard BD 2004, fell in love with the activity again.

I LOVE BD's closer. They freakin' move like crazy! Reminds me of the closing super running while playing that Phantom did last year.:worthy: I keep watching it on video...I just really like the music. Their ending drill where they mimic the balancing stick-man is just great! Got my heart racing for sure!

Hey, now this is a 5 star rating thread if I've ever seen one!!!

Methods of Madness is one of the most underrated shows ever. The music is intense

in that special BD-kinda-way throughout. I break out in a sweat every time I crank it up.

Man, those mello runs ... yeah!!!

I enjoy the recent shows the most, though, as I think the staff is getting better at

picking effective themes that allow more freedom of expressive and aren't too

restrictive.

2008 is shaping up to be my favorite BD ever.
