If your iPod is one of the older MP3 players and not an iOS device, you would subscribe to Box Center in iTunes and have that sync the podcast episodes to your device. If you're using an iOS device like an iPod Touch, you can still use iTunes to sync the podcast episodes. You also have the option of Apple's Podcasts app, which is free, or you can look at 3rd party podcast apps like Downcast, my favorite from when I used iOS.
