Blue Stars bling better than anyone!

Troopers did pretty well. Seemed to be a bit lackluster tonight. Marching has cleaned up a lot since the beginning of the season, but still the weakest Troopers has moved in recent memory. Horns sound good, opening trumpet is money!

First time I've seen Colts in person since week 1 and I'm very impressed. They've gotten so much better, the show is really clicking and is quite beautiful. I really hope they make it the theatre telecast. Except for a couple of drops, guard was killing it! Flag work is so effective when it's clean . Go figure.

True, they are absolutely Finals caliber, but I don't want them to leapfrog Scouts. I do think Scouts are better.

Pacific Crest with a very enjoyable show. Nice overlay of California Dreaming and Kaleidescope of Mathematics. I'd watch it again.

Yeah, Mandarins are Good! Upper brass very nice, great trombone soli, too much goo on the bottom so I can't really decide on low brass. Guard is very talented. Still need some cleaning and consistency. Very well designed show.

Nice show from OC. Nice ensemble sound from the hornline. As only a part time percussionist I can't be entirely trusted, but I thought their drums were pretty great.

Nice job, Genesis! Welcome to World Class! Brass sounds much better in person. Sure there are some wobbles but overall very solid. Marching is quite impressive. You can tell they spent time on basics. Everyone has the same style, leg motion identical. Guard is solid. Very nice.

And you're almost 100% guaranteed a Cavies win (not to slight Blue Stars or anyone else- you're all winners [but mostly Cavies]).

This is always a really good show. For the past several years it's been on the same night as a TOC show so you only get one or two of last year's top 12, but you do get a ton of the 13+ corps. Centerville Band runs a great show, nice stadium and field, plus bake sale! I know I keep talking about it, but it's so distinctive. Something I've never seen at another drum corps competition. If you're in the area, come on over.

I was totally digging the power coming out of those contras. They don't need no stinking synth bass!
