Um.... just to let you know that Rampart is doing just fine. They ARE performing above average if you look at their recent scores and being that this is the first year they are competing in 5A, against tough competition, they know what they need to do. There are some really great bands this year. Legacy competes at a real high level and there's some really great talent out there from many local high schools.
And.... Rampart is the first Colorado marching band to beat Pomona. And they did it at a competition in New Mexico a couple years ago. That was the first time in quite a few years that any other Colorado high school marching band has beaten them.
And.....I have a lot of respect for Rampart. My son works with and respects Nick. So I have faith he will do just fine. Just so you know, my son was a member of Colorado's most winningest (if that's a even a word ) 5A high school bands, was asked to to be on staff at Ronald Reagan High School awhile back along with other high schools nationwide, and just recently aged out after 5 years with a Div 1 drum corps during their championship years. So with this experience I trust my son's judgement.
Also....what part of "Criminal" is similar to Rampart's show? (besides the concept). Just wondering.
Just out of curiosity, are you affiliated with any of the Colorado high school bands? I think that Colorado is finally producing some very demanding and innovative high school band programs overall. I find myself more entertained these days.
