  1. Our deepest condolenses to Johns family & to the Sigs. The Kawartha Kavaliers
  2. Great news, on the sale of the drums, Scott. Who bought them? Larry
  3. Thanks Guys, I'm not sure if we want them or not, but my screaming back & 3 mile parades think "maybe".
  4. Besides the corpsvets, in DCA, did anyone else use Wedge snares over the past couple of years? Larry Kawartha Kavaliers Lindsay Ont
  5. Jeff, Are your drums still available? Larry Callaghan Kawartha Kavaliers
  6. The Kawartha Kavaliers send on our condolences to John's family and to the Blue Saints Drum Corps family. Great memories with the Imperial Knights. God Bless Larry Callaghan President Kawartha Kavaliers Lindsay, Ont.
  7. I just added up the performances I saw over the weekend: Mini Corps - 18 Prelims - 22 Alumni - 9 Finals - 13 Grande Total: 62 Fantastic Drum Corps That works out to about $2.00 a corps. Thank you DCA. Oh Ya: and 2 tenor solos, about 8 snare solos & 5 or 6 Percussion Ensembles, just for good measure. I'm going to lie down, good night.
  8. Great pictures. Congrats on getting on the field. Good looking corps. Larry Callaghan Kawartha Kavaliers City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario
  9. Thanks you for the review, From the northern fans <santa>
  10. Thanks Jeff, I hope your corps is building. Now I just need to find about 25 more sets of lips & we're good. b**bs
  11. If only I had a cool million, Toronto is just finishing their new 20,000 seat "soccer" stadium in downtown Toronto, on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds. Home of the new MLS Toronto team. But then all you visitors would have to get passports. Never Mind! Check out the stadium pictures. It will be done this summer. My Webpage
  12. 50 Years & still Going! It's going to be a great party. Over the years, we're been a parade corps, an exhibition corps & a comptetive corps. In the 60's, agains all those great Canadian corps we won the Canadian & Ontario Senior B championships. In the 70's we did the RCA circuit, and had the loudest 21 man hornline on the circuit, as well as a smokin drumline. Great times, great freinds & great music. But the important thing is that we never stopped performing. Here's to the next 50!! b**bs
  13. Congrats, on getting Bob on board, truly on of the funiest men in drum corps, and a great guy! He was our drum major & drill instructor in the early 70's and then came back in 03 to assist us and was instrumental in getting us back on the field, in exhibition. He'll do a great job for you. Glad to hear he's doing well. Say hi to him for me Have a great year Larry Callaghan President Kawartha Kavaliers Lindsay Ont www.kawarthakavaliers.org
  14. The Kawartha Kavaliers practice every Wed evening and usually take January & August off, because we tired of each other. We usually perform 8 spring/summer parades & concerts & 10 xmas parades. We try to do at least one field exhibition a year, but this year we were unable, as the only one we could find was in August & many of our corps had holiday plans. If anyone is planning or need an ehibition corps in June or July, give us a call. We run with approx. 23 solid horns, 12 drummers, 8 guard. In 2006 we recieved a grant which enabled us to purchase a complete set of brand new Kanstul horns (30) and we're always looking for new members. check out www.kawarthakavaliers.org cheers
