  1. Yes.... (perhaps an inside clue for Fran? .... You will be seeing him this month)
  2. State: VA Jr Corps: Vasella Musketeers He has a history with 4 Alumni Corps.... To add to NanciD's clue, his schoolin' history... Education: South Philadelphia High School Temple University Bachelor of Science Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy 88th Session The George Washington University MS in Forensic Science Harvard University Senior Fellow in National Security
  3. Hint..... I do know this gentleman so I'm not sure how much to post about his Military AND Drum Corps history.... Colonel, United States Army (Ret) 1965 - 1991 I'm not sure, maybe posting some of his DC history might give him away. I could post more of his Military history though... (No, I did not send this pic to NanciD)
  4. OT; (like that's new. LOL) Maybe because of my health, a few years ago I opened a "MyHeritage.com" (http://www.myheritage.com/) account and asked the family members I do know if they would help put our family tree together. I have one cousin (on my mother's side) that had done an extensive search of my family and with the help of several other family members we've also been able to put together quite a bit of family genealogy on my dad's side. Donna's family was a little easier as she already knew and remembered a lot of her family background and details. Still a work in progress and quite interesting to learn about one's family and where we came from...
  5. He's not the person I was thinking of. (Alvin Ramos marched Snare with Sun from 98-99.....)
  6. If this is who I think it is he ("A.R.") marched 98-99 with Sun on Snare (2000 went to the Cadets) Maybe not, even though he looks a lot like the same person but I think the gentleman I'm thinking of is now in Portland, OR.
  7. Did he also march a season (or two) with Sun in the 90's or early 2000's? (After my time and I'm stumped on the name)
  8. Looks familiar but I'll wait for a few more clues...
  9. Agreed! And that's not something I would have thought I would ever say during BigW's tenure with Westshore, 79-84.... (Though we didn't know each other personally back then we are good friends today...)
  10. That's what others have said about the 69 BAC season.... *I* never said I was. Though I WAS in the company of Giants! (Yea, I know yea just bustin my twin brother... heh)
  11. In 68 Jimmy was teaching the Lynn Continentals. After the 68 season was over he "invited" me to go to a BAC rehearsal. (I'll pick you up around 5:30, bring your horn...) The rest, as they say, is history.... (At least as to how in the heck I ended up in BAC for the 69 season anyways)
  12. As my sig shows, yes you are correct my friend... Most of the members of "some other Corps" (Corps to remain nameless, I'm not sure the statue of limitations has run out as yet... LOL) were swinging a little higher than I stood so several of those missed me... That and 1969 rookies, that wanted to live to see 1970, were smart to keep quite....
  13. Why yes, in 69 I was.... "This Corps Is Made Of Giants..."
  14. err.... Thanks Ray. (I think) I don't think I've ever heard (or read) anything (or anyone) ever make a reference to me looking like a Giant...... well not since 1969 anyways. I do remember John's voice occasionally carrying over any and all other sounds when he wished to be heard. I seem to remember it being more the tone of his voice more than the volume though... IIRC, (back in the day) we all wanted to "Do good, don't suck" when John was out front and or in the room...
  15. Thanks.... Of course, as a 5 yr old, I thought (back then) ALL of the Corps were across the street....
  16. I kinda wish I was still around the activity in 1990, I would have enjoyed seeing this performance live... Kev marched with Sun in 98... and is still with Reilly......
  17. Our (Hurcs) 74's Wet Dream was fun.... (Though I enjoyed the 79 Wet Dream more, we (Srs) all got to perform) Ron's site.... http://www.dicemanradio.com/SrCorps/dream1.htm The Dream 1974 Roosevelt Stadium Jersey City, New Jersey Seniors Rained Out Juniors 1 Muchachos 79.40 2 Garfield Cadets 76.00 3 Bridgemen 75.00 4 Audubon Bon Bons 64.10
