  1. It Is quite simple you any one interested in joining the Reading Buccaneers should fill out a Corps Data Profile Here (scroll to the bottom) This will get you registered for membership day. 2. Wow well thank you. I just posted this and now I have a great response. I am going to take a look at the Dickies Jackets that many people suggested.
  3. Does any one know the Brand of jackets that the Blue Devils use for their Corps jackets? If anyone knows the site where I could get the jacket that would be great. I have some kids who are in love with BD. And I want to surprise them with BD style of jackets. But they will have their name on on it and there High school name on it.
  4. The 2006 Spartans will be presenting the musical work of Tommy Tallarico's Advent Rising. Peter LaFlamme and the entire Spartan organization are very proud to have the endorsement of Mr Tallarico as they undertake their 51st year in the drum corps activity. Working on the musical design of the show will be Key Poulan, Peter Furnari and Chris DuFault.
  5. Yes it is true there are serious talks about starting a drum corps on long island. This will hopefully tap the untaped talent that the area has to offer. The LIMMA ( Long Island Marching Arts Association) board plan to put out a acompetitive indoor drumline (RAGE) in the comeing years they plan to have a indoor winter guard and a proforming brass line. This will all be over seen by the LIMAA board there hopes is to combine all of these sections to make a compative corps. The following was taken right off there site It is with great excitement that I announce the formation of the Long Island Marching Arts Association. This is an organization created to promote, sponsor and develop Junior Drum Corps and related marching performance arts on Long Island. The association has brought together people from all areas of Long Island with all types of marching experiences and we have begun an aggressive campaign to launch a Winter ensemble program for the 2005-2006 season. As a board, it is our intent to reach out to all students interested and offer a state of the art marching program by providing winter programs for Percussion, Brass and Guard. In addition it is our intent to have a national level Junior Drum Corps in place once we have created a solid infrastructure. We recognize that a strong organization with financial support is the key to moving forward and I am confident in the group we have assembled and look forward to a productive marching program. You may visit thei site for more info http://www.limaa.org/
  6. I need some one to clear up a few points. The Cadets and crossmen are both part of YEA we all konw that. In the past you were able to audition for both the Cadets and the Crossmen at the same time. Like in the past that if you were real good ANd you tryed out for Crossmen you would be moved up to the Cadets, and if you were not so good and you tryied out for the Cadets that you were moved down to the Crossen. I have heard that this "flip flop" way our auditioning is not true anymore. And now you have to try out for eather Crossmen or the Cadets you can't try out for both. Please let me know whats going on.
  7. Hello everyone I have been on these fourms for quite sometime. I see that many people have a vast knowledge about the drum coprs activity. I would like to know from as many people as possiable, what do you think corps are looking for when they aduition you. Shuch as which do you think they look more for is it your ability to play or the attitude that you carry. Are there any pointers that you can give to me about what to expect in the audition process. I will be auditioning for the Cadets for the quad spot this coming November. If anyone has any specific insite about the Cadets percussion program like what should I expect, and what sould be expected of me. Also what should be included in my solo. Please feel free to share any of your auditioning story with me weather it be with the Cadets another corps it dosent matter to you if you play a horn or if you are in guard. Any info or advice that you give to me will be greatly appreciated.
