to add to this, the corps played it in their 1969 show. not listed on corpsreps.com, but my father and husband both have a recording of it from fleetwood, midwest 1969. i remember hearing it and calling it "spooky music" as a very small child, in monroe, wi at the cheese days contest. '83... JD I believe you and I marched near each other. Euph? We were loud but you were HUGE! B) Anyway.. In '86 (the Classics) I believe we worked up 'The Phantom Regiment' as the marching warmup. I need to find a recording of it to be sure.... I don't recall it being to exciting. JS PRBari 83-86

On a different note... has Phantom ever ACTUALLY PLAYED the piece "Phantom Regiment" that their name supposedly comes from? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We played it as a 'marching warmup' off and on..

IMHO We had a responsibility to handle a very demanding piece, sadly limited. It was a mistake to attempt in a building year. If I recall we were around 50% rookie. We didn't suck, bud. Speaking as someone who marched in the 25th anniversary.. a win would be nice.
