I marched with Jon in 90, 91 and with the Alunmi Corps. We both played Euph and were on field crew. I am honored to play at his funeral. My 0.02, 1. I feel that alot of Star Alum's appreciate what Crown is accomplishing because it is familiar to us. 2. We currrently do not have a team to root for being Alum's. (That is hard for me, personally) 3. Crown has sought these individuals to mimic the past, but isn't that what all drum corps do? 4. It is really easy to talk about the "Pile of Money", what is not talked about is how easy it was to take that same "Pile" away and move on. 5. Crown will evolve and make decisions that will either take them to the next level or fall into mediocrity. Knowing some of the staff I do not see the later happening. Only time will tell. 6. To the Star Alums posting, Spanky, Tony, Ben, Fudge and Mrs Tye, it is an absolute pleasure to be associated with you. I laugh when I see, Thank you you have a very fine Drum Corps, I could hear George Zingali's voice in the back of my head, telling us that story. All the Best, Alden
