HOW CAN YOU APPLY? Contact Keith Warfield at Bakstik2@aol.com ASAP. Don’t miss the opportunity to work with one of the best percussion gurus in drum corps, 2008 Battery & Ensemble Composer, Keith Warfield. Keith Warfield’s arranging and teaching career includes championship drum corps and high school bands as well as other percussion-related activities. In addition, Keith is a seasoned judge and percussion performer. Percussion Caption Head Lance Piantaggini's resume and background are diverse and showcase his many talents. He taught percussion for the DCI Division II Spartans drum corps in 2005 and 2006, and took 2007 off to travel to Greece for undergraduate studies. While completing his BA at the University of Massachusetts, Lance performed with the UM Minuteman Marching Band. He has also marched with the Spartans and the Boston University Winter Percussion Ensemble. The influences of former instructors Thom Hannum (DCI Hall of Famer) and Chris Dufault (former Spartans Percussion Caption Head) are highly evident in his style, approach and philosophy. I have been remiss in not thanking Stijn Jodts for travelling from BELGIUM to be with us at the Skyliners' Membership Day on October 14th! Stijn marched with Sky in 2004 and played tenors. It was wonderful to see him again, and exciting that he chose to take a vacation in the New York area that coincided with our Membership Day. He called one of our long time percussion members, Angel, and said, "I'm coming!" It was great to see you, Stijn and we hope to see you again soon.
