It could be the hottest Finals month ever in Europe this year. For Jubal it won't be easy to take the win again this year. Especially when you look at the visual captions. It was a very nice contest last saturday :)

Last weekend I've heard something about an international contest in the UK next year. With drumcorps from different countries in Europe. Does anyone know more about these plans?

A good friend captured some old drumcorps tapes from his parents. I think it's nice to know that he uploaded the original recording from the Madison Scouts performance in the Netherlands in 1988. The Madison Scouts performed on the Drumcorps Holland Finals. Enjoy the dutch going wild for the Scouts! :) And also see the other videos on his account. And yes, in Holland we have drumcorps since the 70's! ;)

I'm dutch :) And marching with Jubal on baritone. Do you have a schedule for the tour in Belgium?

Haha, sorry But I was curious to see the meeting between Jubal and Northern Star because of the close scores from last year. I guess Jubal will be the last corps of the evening in Dordrecht. But maybe I can see you guys at Taptoe Zeeland over two weeks! :)

Even to find his favourite DCUK corps will be terrible, I think.

And as you can see in the quote from dci.org Jubal can compete in Div2. They are an international division corps and don't have any age restrictions. So, come on guys. What are the predictions for the Dutch?

No trumpet solos for BD?

I have seen three shows of the Glassmen and some rehearsal time here in Europe. I must say they are doing very well. You can see the progress they made since their first show I saw in French and their show yesterday in Belgium. Also nice to see they have another product than other years before. This one really kicks ###, even for people who are not a fan of Glassmen. Can't wait to see the first scores when they are back in the US!

I have a Dynasty Baritone with a Yamaha silent brass for trombone. I've fixed some foam around it to make it fit in the bell. For me it works well. If you don't practice your horn moves the silent brass stays in the bell pretty good :)

The Glassmen will be in Paris in June, so I think you'll miss them. As far as I know there isn't so much drumcorps activity in France. For shows near London you could take a look at www.dcuk.org.uk/
