I wonder how many injuries SCV props caused
I was concerned when they were standing up there seemingly without any support. Same with Troopers' cellist.

No other corps would dare do this show. What absolute audacity. Love it warts and all

Thank you Crossmen for remembering that this is drum and BUGLE corps. The most brass playing I heard from any WC corps yet. Electronics issues aside, that was a great run.

I love the atmosphere of this Colts show. Obviously the drumline is cooking and the visual is fantastic. I'm only hearing over speakers but I feel like this would be placing higher if the horn line could put out some more volume. Great great stuff

First view of Madison. I like the music - a lot. Not sure what the show is about. Nice job, though.

It's a little weird not seeing Jeff Prosperie. I don't think he's judged all year. Is his son marching? Maybe he just decided to retire.

How about that big start from ACADEMY!

I really liked the way the corps uniforms matched the backdrop. It was almost uncanny at times. I thought the hornline took some time to get their tonal center together, but that might just be me. Music City, like all the corps so far, brought the energy tonight!

I enjoyed Pacific Crest! As a fan for over three decades, I recognized plenty of those 'Easter eggs!' Also, I wonder if this was the first ever use of Leonard Nimoy's voice in a DCI show.

sadly at the end of the day that is what we are left with.
Problem I have is everyone involved with these drum corps deserves the best. The judges are affecting essentially 200ish people in an organization not to mention all the alumni , parents, fans , member sponsors and supporters of a particular corps.
A judges personal likes or dislikes or bias should never get in the way of fairly scoring a performance. For a subjective caption , GE carries way too much weight
But they're all subjective captions.
Even in the days of ticks, you'd ask, who's counting the ticks? Or, what counts as a tick?

Thursday, August 11th “DCI World Championship PRELIMS” Lucas Oil Stadium Indianapolis, INDIANA

It must be the day after Prelims - when I close my eyes all I see are unison rifle tosses.
