  1. I disagree with you Tone Quality. Pacific Crest has beaten the corps I've mentioned except for Spirit and Crossmen. Consisten I think so. They have been trailing Spirit by no more than .5 to 1 point every time they attend the same show. I can't say the same for Academy since they have yet competed against these corps. GO PC/ACADEMY!!
  2. There are two great drum corps who have been showing what they can do this season. Pacific Crest performing very well on their first tour to the mid/east/west and passing their competitors (including Madison) and catching up to Spirit and Crossmen by less than a few tenths of a point. Then we have the Academy who are Div. II Champs and are performing extraordinary. However, the corp has yet to tour and perhaps a potential drop in scores could happen, but don't count them out just yet. I believe Pacific Crest and Academy will show more upsets this year. People are pushing more for Academy, but Pacific Crest is right there between Spirit, Colts, and Crossmen and has a chance to make history and qualify for Finals. What do you guys think about all this? The corps? Everything. I can't wait to see what happens.
  3. Thoughts on this corp this season.
  4. Pacific Crest was robbed. Pacific Crest had a great show at Quarterfinals. Their show was cleaner than many of the other bottom corps. Musically they had it, by far. The loudest hornline in the bottom tier, etc. They had the crowd on their feet by the end of the Opener and on their feet and clapping before they played the last note of the closer. P.C. was being underscored after the Lawrence show and on. They defeated Southwind on their first head to head and then dropped three points behind Mandarins, Southwind, Seatle, I don't think so. Their performance execution was right on. What were the Judges thinking? No offense to the Magic, Seatle, Southwind, or Mandarins, but Pacific Crest had a top knotch show and deserved that 17th spot. In fact, a lot of people seemed to agree the same thing. The audience was shocked when they heard their score, why... because they were underscored.
  5. smj I wasn't attackin you (a suppoerter). Just simply making a statement.
  6. Give Pacific Crest a chance, geez. Let them show the East Coast what they have to bring to DCI and you will all be amazed. They have been rehearsing extremely hard and well. For those who haven't seen Pacific Crest yet, you will be blown away.
  7. Where will Pacific Crest be heading, placing wise or standings, when they head out to the East Coast. Thoughts??
  8. I suppose that is your opinion, but the Mandarins are not better than Pacific Crest, no offense to the Mandarins. Judges are judges, they have their opinions as well, but numbers don't mean anything, especially when Pacific Crest is involved, since they almost always get the shaft from it all. The one thing that has not changed is that the Mandarins and Pacific Crest are both rehearsing. If you go to Pacific Crest's page they had a camp this weekend, a long one. And for a corp to be as good as Pacific Crest that rehearses less than other corps does not mean the other corps are better. I don't mean to get upset, but people need to understand that just because P.C. is not a full tour corp or doesn't rehearse as much doesn't mean they should be forgotten about. Their rehearsing eddict is obviously extremely well.
  9. I disagree.... 13th: Crossmen 14th: Blue Stars 15th: Colts 16th: Pacific Crest 17th: Mandarins/Capital/Southwind
  10. what are some predictions for 13th place through 17th.
  11. Pacific Crest's hornline has come such a long way and I am sure they will perform their hearts at every performance to prove to the audiences, judges, and DCI that they are a great corp regardless of not doing the full tour and they should realize that. They are who they are and do what they do for a reason.
  12. I have been deeply impressed with Pacific Crest this year. Their show is something different than what they are used to. They have an outstanding hornline, the best in years. People are underestimating this corp just because they have not gone to the east coast. Of course, the corp may or may not drop points when they head to the east coast, however, that doesn't mean that the corp will continue to decline during their stay. Pacific Crest is definately a semi finalist this year. Corps such as Mandarins, Capital, and Southwind should watch out because they could easily get knocked out this year. Yet why are there so many doubts on Pacific Crest's performances is what I would like to know? This corp is coming out strong this year. It's time for the numbers to reflect it.
  13. Can some of you guys please predict on the lower levels, like 15- 17 please. What are your thoughts on corps such as Pacific Crest and the Mandarins this year and their hornlines and performances.
  14. I do agree with all the top 12 standings. There are amazing drum corps with amazing shows this year. However, from 13 to 17 is going to be a tough fight I think. Blue Stars are a great corp, a guarantee spot. The Mandarins and Pacific Crest have shown a lot this year. They have both put on great shows. The spot for 17th is strongly between Mandarins, Southwind, and Pacific Crest. and personally Pacific Crest is the strongest of them both. They have a great hornline this year. I am not sure if anyone has heard them yet, but they sound amazing for who they are. One of the best in years. There show is a new change for them and the audience and judges are responding and enjoying their performances. Don't count this corp out of Semis.
