I am writting to see if anyone from the Central New York Area know of a affordable place for are IA and Sr guard to pratice for the month of December on Saturdays and Sundays.Are place that was surpose to be in place has no power as of yet. If anyone on here knows of a place please pvt me or post it here. We are based out of Oswego County, so closer the better lol. Thanks very much

Luminosa Enter My Dreams a Complete 360 change from there product at the Dayton Regional Guard could do very well. Legacy Times Up Great to watch and keeps you on the edge of your seat Northstars JV Let Go good concept and technique, could go far. Ventures Find Your Magic Lots of fun and pretty GE SA Gates-Chili "Our Song" They may be small but I can see this group in the top 15 Jamestown Express "Cosmic Love" Great show and Concept along with music. Greater Johnstown "Flight of Icarus" This group if they deliver a solid show could crack top 15. Lancaster "Bad Romance" Love this show its fun and exciting. Also love the 15ft stair case in the corner of the floor Phoenix "Ma Petite" Great colors and concept very mature Victor "Breathe" Great body and movement throughout keeps you intrigued SO Orchard Park "Falling" WOW and WOW this guard is non stop from beginning to end Northstars Open "And It Sank Beneath the Sea" What a style change from last year. This show has many high and low moments.Could make top 15 Shenendehowa Open "Awakenings" The GE in this show is tops.Great to watch from start to end. IO Spectrum "Mad About You" After many years Spectrum might get a medal at worlds. This show is non stop complete with feathers Patriots "Out with the Old in with the New" Interesting twisted on an old theme.

C-NS Northstars Sr. Review Sorry I took so long to write this. I did not know people actually read my reviews lol. This was opening weekend in MYCGC. It was a great opening weekend and I am impressed with how many guards are ready! Novice Oxford- This year their second year back and this year show is very entertaining. They are doing Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova”. They are a small group but very well prepared, I love the saloon girl out fits and the acting that was in there show. Also love the flags and the work. Cadet Phoenix Jr. – They moved back to the Cadet class this year doing “Rock that Body”. With a great group dance feature, I see this show going far this season. Amethyst-This year they compete in the Cadet class in the NECGC and SRA in the MYCGC. This year show is entitled “Crossed” using “Haunted” by Kelly Clarkson. They had some high throws and great moments for so early in the season. Vestal Jr. This show was very cute. Their show is entitled “Draw” using the music of Kristin Anderson. They had cute hand drawn flags and some great ensemble moments. Liverpool Cadet-Moving up from the Novice class this year they are using the music of KISS. Still with a lot to be written the moments that were complete were right on. Also love the acting in this show too. SRA Northstars SRA-Moving up from the Cadet class this year they are doing a show entitled “Pathways” using the Music of Hans Zimmer. This show was together with great ensemble moments, tosses, and overall effect of the show. This is an early runner in the SRA Class. Susquehanna Valley- Doing the Music of Boston they had fast flag movement and brought down the house with their rock inspired show. Liverpool JV- “Night of the Dancing Flame” is this year theme for Liverpool JV. With hot flags and great flag and movement this jazz show intrigues you from beginning to end. Mexico- This year show is set to “Eyes on me” by Celine Dion. They had some great movement and ensemble work. Also the beautiful fabrics and colors were great too. This show will go far this year. SA3 Jordan-Elbridge-In a new class this year, they are doing a show entitled “Keep Holding On”. They had a lot of movement and some great solo moments. I see a lot of potential in this group this year. SA2 Naples- Doing a train inspired show this show was put together. With high tosses and great transitions I cannot wait to see where this show is going. Baldwinsville Var.- Doing a show entitled “The Market” Set on a Line Chart floor they show us the highs and lows of the stock market. They are using the Music of James Newton Howard “The Village”. A lot of daring tosses, great uniforms, and a surprise ending I cannot wait to see what next for this guard. Bloomfield Var.- Doing a show entitled “Reflections in the Moonlight” using the classic “If you Can Read my Mind Love” this show had a lot of movement and throws. Also love the dark floor as well. IA Northstars JV- “Letting Go” is this year show. With classic Northstar movement and work this show is very entertaining and thoughtful. Allure- This year show is a 360 from last year’s program. Doing a program entitled “Forever Without You” using Christina Parri “Jar of Hearts”. Set on an Infinite Symbol this group has train members. With high throws and beautiful colors, this guard show is as intense as last year. Lakeside-Moving up to IA class this year they are doing a show called the “The Weeping Women”. This show has a lot of GE and color to it. This guard will do very well in IA this year. SA1 Laurens- Using beautiful Colors, Laurens show is based around the Butterfly. Great use of a flags and a great color scheme, this should be another great year for Laurens. Victor-“Just Breath” set to Seal is a great show for this group. With Blue and yellow uniforms this group know how to toss and move. Amethyst Gold.-This year show is Entitled “The Flight of Icarus” its a great concept for this group. Complete with a flight, this guard knows how to move and do some cool tricks with Rifle. This show will be a powerhouse in weeks to come. Vestal Sr.- Using the music of Vanessa Maes Vestal Move into the SA1 class is a good one. Using fast movement and skills this show keeps you focus from start to end. ES-M- Using a upbeat version of “Amazing Grace” ES-M goes into a new direction this year. With some great solo and group work along with some cool body on top of the platform in the center of the floor this is a fun and exciting show to watch. Liverpool Var.-“The Unknown” is where Liverpool is going this year using the music from “The Number 23”. With a lot of tricks in their equipment book, this show gets inside you. Should be a thriller in the weeks to come SO Northstars Var.- “And it Sank Beneath the Sea” is a 360 turn to what Northstars done the last couple of years. This show is intense with the crazy sit up on a ladder at the beginning along with all the ensemble work. This show will be a top runner in SO regionally as well as National standings. Central Square Var.- After winning SA1 last year they are doing “Sweet Child of Mine” by Vitamin Strings. Using moving props this group showed they are ready for SO class. IO Spectrum-This year show is Sexy as they perform their show “Mad about You” Using the music of Hooverphonic. With a red floor and an insane Equipment book this had to be one of my favorite shows so far this season. I cannot wait to see where this goes.

This is Why I love gossip... so I can fix it.... Northstars JV is in IA class not Northstars Var that won 2 years ago in SA. They had a IA guard since 2007. Northstars Var. is Still in SO, Just wanted to clear that up and OMG I cant wait till this sat!

I am build props for a guard again this year and need some help. We are building 7 draped fabic props that fabic hangs straight down and over flow onto the floor. They are 8ft tall by just under 4ft wide. I know what to do make a T to hang the fabric but idk what to do about the base so they dont move or tip. I am using PVC pipe so it portable for the season.Attached a picture of what I am looking to do. The picture is of Phoenix Var. 2010 Show Saber Dance that the kind of props I want to do.

How do you get people to show up to check out your guard. We are kinda low on members so far this season and I am out of ideas how to get bodies. any thoughts????

Allure Visual Ensemble or AVE out of Oswego county New York is starting their second year. Last year MYCGC IA Silver medalist, will be having their first practice at Pulaski JR/SR HS on October 2nd at 11am. The guard is open to anyone not turning 23 before March 31, 2011.
