Great pics. I am highly amused. So assuming that this whole Robotic Band comes into existence, what happens when the alien probe comes to Earth and looks for signed of Drum Corps activity, finds none, and then seeks to destroy the planet? Will the slaves still be around to send some one to the past to locate and bring back a Drum Corps to save Earth and liberate themselves from musical tyrrany? And which corps would it be? Can't help but ask as I was reading this thread while watching Star Trek IV.

In some of the hot button topics, I frequently see appeals to tradition. What I want to know is what traditions make Drum Corps...Drum Corps. I'm thinking about the stuff that is under the surface that doesn't become the subject of heated argument, what's not immediately obvious when you're sitting in the stands watching... It could be something small that only a single corps does or something common throughout the activity. What is that makes the activity endure? What is it about an organization that makes its alumni and current members pull together to get through a rough time or ressurect an old name for a new life? I want to know about old tradition, new traditions, small ones annd large ones. There are a lot of people with a long history in the activity on these forums and I want to know just a little slice of that history. So keep it light, lighthearted, enlightening and serve it up!

There should be some kind a rule (or rather strong suggestion) that if you are going to post something ultra serious then you have to post something silly to balance it out. So in the spirit of never being serious enough to be taken sillily I propose that everyone add an idea that maybe could have been in a show but never was...at least in a more absurd world. I'm not sure if someone has ever tackled a country music show. For some reason I think it would be cool; especially, now that I am older and have a much broader appreciation for music than when I was a teenager. What music do you think might make a wicked cool and entertaining show. I say: A little Johnny Cash Some Truck Driving Man Some Dueling Percussion Sprinkle a little Jerry Reed in there With some Willie Nelson That's just me though.

I wouldn't worry about that LT guy, he's just there to give orders, supply moral leadership, and look pretty. :) Great video though, drill teams are always fun to watch and a great public affairs tool as well.
