We are finalizing plans to travel to brass Hysteria in June and are looking for other places to perform in the (I say this loosley since Dallas is hardly near by) Rocky Mountain Area. Very exciting music, and drill and we are gaining more and more talent every week! Let's go HCB!
  4. Thanks for asking about High Country Brass! We've been extremely busy getting ready for the next several months! High Country Brass is alive and thriving in the Denver Metro area! We have been rehearsing every weekend since October and will begin performing at the WGI shows starting on the 1st of March and going 6 straight weekends. We have a very exciting floor show and are excited to start working on our Summer field show. The summer show will be an expansion of what we have been working on this Winter. We are planning on attending Brass Hysteria In Texas in june and have several DCI shows in our area that we are planning on performing at this Summer as well. We will be in the top 100 units for the Denver St. Patricks day parade on March 15, 2007 and we will be performing the song Danny boy as well as some of the corps favorites including our 2008 opener Ravels Bolero. Pretty heady stuff! We are growing in membership weekly and are planning our next open house on April 6th , 2008. Go to our website at Highcountrybrass.org for more info and some cool pictures of our new battery! We can't wait to get out there and meet all of the folks we talk to on the forums! Our corps has grown to 45 members including the guard, hornline and battery but we are always on the lookout for more members! We would love to be at 60 members by this summer. We have the equipment just need the dedicated people to make it happen( this will make our director, Drew Tyburczy turn pale) LOL Looking forward to seeing you all soon, Mike Ryan HCB Board member

  16. Hey Mike! I try to post "as the other Mike Ryan"! LOL! I hear we have a lot in common to, Good looking contra players that are totally modest, shy and reserved. (this is just a rumor I heard) Don't know for sure about you but I know this all applies to me! LMAO Mike
  17. Wow what a dilemma! We are growing so quickly that we are running out of horns! After 12-2-07 HCB will temporarily place a hold on the hornline for new members until April 2008! If your interested in joining HCB this is the weekend to do it! We have very limited horns for all sections. We will be opening the hornline up again for the summer season starting in April 2008 so if you miss the deadline this weekend keep looking at our website, Highcountrybrass.org for news! The guard is filling up for the winter season too, but they still have several spots available. We are activley looking for a few folks to play cymbals for the winter guard season and of course the drumline is always ready to add a couple of basses and 1 more snare player to the section. Thanks to all of the people who keep coming out to join HCB! See you on the floor in March! Mike Ryan
