Alternative Percussion Ensemble will be holding auditions for their 2010 cast on November 1st and 8th, 2009 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM at Poway High School. There is a $25 Audition Fee that covers both weekends. Registration begins at 11:30 AM in Room N2. For audition materials, please register at http://www.sdalternative.org. If you are auditioning for snare, tenor, or bass drum, please bring at least one pair of sticks/ mallets and a practice pad. (Front Ensemble mallets will be provided) Snare drummers and tenor drummers - to ensure that you have a drum to play on the entire time, we suggest that you bring your own instrument and carrier. If you need a drum for the audition you can reserve one on a first-come-first-served basis by emailing info@sdalternative.org. 2010 is going to be another exciting year culminating with WGI Championships in Dayton, Ohio! If you haven't done so already, check out sticktape.com. This stuff is great... better tack than electrical tape, it won't shrink on the stick, it's a little heavier so it'll protect the stick better PLUS it costs less per foot than electrical tape AND you get more tape per roll. I know most of you are thinking "tape is tape" but seriously, check this stuff out.
