Part of my observations over my time reading the posts are from either:
A.) Longtime drum corps people. Including people who had marched sometime in the Pre-DCI, early DCI, and taught somewhere before most members were born in DCI today.
B.)Fans of DCI that are from any time period.
C.)Alum from the late 80's to 2000's
and
D.)Current marching members of DCI.
My problem with the "D.)" selection is that some of the members that post don't really know that much, but post like they know everything about anything, and their point is valid because their signature reads:

DCI Age out 201_
... IMO marching members shouldn't be necessarily concerned with (INSERT CORPS DIRECTOR, probably affiliated with the Maroon and Gold) is proposing in the world of DCI. To add to that comment, or on anything another corps besides theirs is concerned with. We all sit and wonder why a lot of DIV I corps have a no posting rule? They are too busy worrying about their own gigs.
sure it's amusing to see what some of these topics are... to be precise 2%.. the rest are useless talk about nothing that doesn't have anything relevant to be discussed. I hate reading the first page when i visit this forums to see the cadets or george or predictions for the season and even a topic to vote corps out of the top 12? wow! what have we become to as a drum corps community that we have to post how we dislike a certain corps that has proved themselves to be worthy of top 12 in the world based on their show last year, or what their show name is this year.
Many people know that things happen that are out of our control, and that's why DCI is some amazing to follow the entire season... anything can happen... but then people speculate all year, even when the season is going to predict what will happen, why they hate a certain show, why a certain show isn't getting the numbers that they feel they deserve...
Just somethings i've been noticing about this website, but never really felt like posting until this thread was started.
