  1. Yes, he edited his post after mine. Must have done the same on Ebay... yep, just checked... a new headline and even a new picture. Look at the time of his edit, and the time of my post. Patrick
  2. No offense, but... It would be much easier to sell if you put a Brand name and Model Number in the description on here, or on your auction... or both. Looking at it, I would never buy it because I have no clue what i'm getting other then that it is "only used once." How do I know its worth $600? Patrick
  3. Yours isn't offensive... I thought it was quite nice actually. But #7 is... well... go read it. Maybe they were counting down 6 after the original post? Patrick
  4. Some people are just impossible. Good luck to you this season Browniebrick.
  5. Making a statement like that it is anything BUT good form. If you were a student at my school and made a post like that after winning a show, I would make you sit out the next performance. Bad form. DCA is all about having fun, and IMO Wildwood was a blast. All of the corps that participated that night did a wonderful job... I do believe they were all near the top at Finals last year. Not a single one of the corps out there on Saturday night is a "lesser drum corps" then the overall winner. A point or two does not make them less enthusiastic, dedicated, talented, or "lesser." If the Bucs have a 3-peat, then I will be the first to congratulate them (you), but remember what DCA is all about... and its not putting other corps down. Patrick
  6. 30% chance of rain, scattered T-Storms, High of 77 degrees. Leaving for Wildwood right now! 6pm Friday! I can't wait to smell that ocean air!
  7. Thanks! The only thing that is a red flag to me is "if you like later, buy a set of rose..." I doubt our school will ever go for a second set :(
  8. Don't forget 6pm tomorrow... if you get a chance call James and Nitasha. As for the Marimba, I'll be talking to more people this weekend, i'm just looking for some outside advice to see if it all matches up Jake.
  9. 1. High School 2. For use with Concert Band and Indoor Perc. 3. Portable, but not "field band" portable 4. I don't know about rosewood or synt, or range... what do you think is best? Thanks for your help!
  10. Hello there... I'm not a percussionist... i'm a horn player (ewwwwww) I'm looking to purchase a Marimba for my school that does not already own one I think that I'll be able to spend around $10,000 give or take $1,000. I was looking at the Yamaha 5100A, but only because I love Yamaha instruments... I really have nothing to base my decision on. What is the best bang for my buck? Best brand? Thoughts? Thanks for your help! Patrick
  11. I got all excited thinking I was going to hear/see myself... but both clips were of the battery and not the horn line :(
  12. I always wondered what would happen if I simply WATCHED THE TRAMCAR drive off the boardwalk into the ocean never to be seen (or HEARD again...) Just a thought, but we could make it happen after a few beers.
  13. All i'm saying is that if you chose to march with a corps, you do so knowing that you have to wear a uniform... be it comfortable or not.
  14. It all boils down to what you are used to. Of course you can "move" in your uniforms as long as they fit. Its not the same as marching in gym clothes, or with almost no clothes on during a hot summer day, but if they fit correctly they shouldn't impact your movement or playing ability at all. Imagine if (and maybe you did) you marched in the not so distant past with all Wool uniforms, in 90+ degree weather and 90+% humidity... People marching today (myself included) have it easy.
  15. This is the reason I'm a Music teacher and not an English teacher... spelling was never my forte. Wow i've gotten off topic. Sorry to the OP.
  16. But would you worry about my worrying so much that you would lose sleep because I was losing sleep from worrying...
  17. Interesting. I guess its one of those things that sounds so wierd that I would never say it. Oh well. I still have a hard time accepting that "ain't" is in the dictionary.
  18. I've never heard them, try looking them up on youtube maybe?
  19. Are you sure about that? I'm not an Enlish teacher, but I'm quite sure that the topic is spelled incorrectly no matter how you read it.
  20. Awesome, my dad marched for the Tigers wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back.
