I am missing something? Or is the lineup for Saturday not including the Mandarins? Are they boycotting after losing last night to the Cadets? 😆 jk. But, where are they?

Just catching up. What on God's green earth was that hot mess of a Phantom show? Are we literally going to end a show(and not that entertaining of a show) with a run to a spot and play loudly? No Bueno. Phantom needs to be Phantom. Not this mess of a 8th place corps they are.

There is no way that BD do not win this year. They learned from last year and have featured front ensemble more and also made their guard match BAC in terms of difficult weapons work. I normally an a BD hater, but they have it this year IMHO. I think they score 99.95. And that is only because of missed toss. 😆
But, regardless, Finals will be fun!

Still do not like the BAC treatment of the ballad from OTW. Just watched the movie and the arrangement is not doing them any justice.

Just catching up, but why are the Cadets drumline and guard not in step when they are seemingly trying to do so??? Do we start on the right or the left? Someone did not get the memo.

Crown's first part of the show is a nothing burger. Second half from the ballad on is very nice. That hornline does not need the megabass synthetic tones under it. Very distracting online. Maybe it is not so bad live. The guard seems very solid!

I think this brass line is not given enough to do. It reminds me of last year with the Mandarins.

Anyone complaining about the Cadets uniforms should really take stock in the fact that they are there to wear uniforms in the first place. To me, they look like the Cadets and it does not matter what they are wearing. Also, wrt the gym shorts, just imagine what the discussion would have been on here without them!

After watching the Mandarins show I have to say that on some level they are giving me to Canadian corps vibes: Ventures for the dress and Les Etoiles for the spinning props. Love the references.

To everyone questioning my knowledge of geography, please relax. The point is that until all corps are at the same contest, judged by the same panel, the scores are just informative, not determanitive. And for the record, I am a well documented fan of Mandarins and Pacific Crest. Just check prior posts. Oh, and just for the record, "West Coast Inflation" is the well known reference to those corps who BEGIN their tours in California and make their way to the first intersection with everyone else. So please all calm down. 🙂

This is classic west coast inflation. I am very happy for Pacific Crest and Mandarins posting such strong numbers, but until everyone is together, the scores on their own are not necessarily all that relevant.

This makes zero sense as there are multiple corps performing at both shows and others just at one. Will those who perform twice take an average? And the others just the one score? Or will those who do two shows get to pick the highest score? I think that BD is at both, so I assume it is the higher score counts. 😆
