  1. You know, I have been reading alot and over the last year their has been an awful lot of criticism of CR and of Rick Bays. I am just curious, how many of the people doing it actually know all of the story. I would be willing to bet there are not many. I would be more willing to bet that most of the vocal people on this subject don't know as much as they are letting on and are just following the lead of a few loud mouths with other agendas
  2. I was a driver for 4 years until health concerns caused me to stop. that was the end of the 04 season. I haven't been to or seen a show since then until last night. I just wanted to let everyone know what I saw. I saw a whole lot of young people giving it their all and making it a wonderful show. I almost forgot how wonderful drum corps is. I truly loved being their last night and seeing all the great performances by all the corps. Everyone who performed last night all deserve kudos. One other thing I saw that i wanted to point out was this. I saw one of the greatest traditions i remember from drum corp last night. People helping others. With his own corp not in competition this year, I was really impressed to see Mr. Rick Bays (Director of C.R.) at the show last night. He was their, i learned, helping out Southwind as a driver and also allowing them to use C.R.'s food trailer and one of their buses. His great showing of support for another corp deserves not only my respect but the respect of everyone in drum corps. After what I saw last night, in my opinion, Mr. Rick Bays exemplifies what everyone involved in drum corps should strive to be.
