  1. As quoted earlier, everyone that is a fan of drum corps seems to have malaguena on their of favorites. it's a good song, but a little overplayed.
  2. the piece was one of the best I have heard on the field in a long time.
  3. I have a long list of songs, but to name a few malaguena If we were in love When a man loves a woman and the entire 92 BD show Bottle Dance Legend of the one eyed sailor Land of make believe Frankenstein Hazy shade of winter channel one suite Spanish Fantasy Radar Love Dindy Renegades 07 My Immortal Those are just a few
  4. I was listening to an old Blue devils recording the other day and Dindy came on, that is now one of m all time favorite songs, who else has a favorite?
  5. that's a good thing, i'm glad to hear the texas drum corps bretheren are doin very well, best of luck to the Ausitn Stars in 08
  6. I would like to bring back a corps that folded in 95, the Geneseo Knights.
  7. I agree that the rule is about exclusion, if you look at a lot of the small corps like Chops, govies, So Cal, al those class A corps that have a reputation, they get crowd reaction, and they get scores. The other corps in class A get reaction, but if they are not from the north, they get jipped big time, especially corps in the south. I love DCA, but get out of the north east and give other corps a chance to show what they really have and let Class A corps that can't put 35 members on field the D--n chance to compete!!!!!
  8. 20 horns do have an impact on the field, it's the matter of whether or not you can get 20 horns and the res of the drumline and guard to show up and stay. how do you deal with members just dropping off left and right and you have to drop out of competition before the season starts. you spend all that money to get the show where you want it, and due to numbers, you can't do a d--n thing about it. I could care less about amplification, it should be banned all over in my oppinion though, but if you can't field 35 people, you shouldn't get penalized by not being awarded share points.
  9. being in a small corps I can understand where you are coming from, we haven't ever really had problems with the numbers until this season. we lost a lot of people in two days and that put us in the situation we are in. It was doing the indoor shows and then straight to the field with only 26 members roughly. now we are in a bind and we can't recruit if we can't do the show. I hate the rule personally.
  10. that's a good point, but say for instance the corps just wants to get on the field for the "friendly" competition that DCA has to offer?
  11. As a few of you may know, DCA passed a rule last season that if a corps canot field 35 members, they may not compete and get share points. I don't know how some of you feel about this, but I'm not a big fan, how are small corps supposed to get on the field right away if they can't compete due to member deficiancy? Just a thought. Any feedback?
  12. I never did get into the whole marching Bb thing, I am a firm believer that drum corps is what it is because of the G bugle

  15. I agree that SVC should she have won in 88 but 89 SCV just enialated the 88 show( no offense)
  16. I don't know if any reading people are coming, I think Dwight is trying to, but I think we're marching in the night parade on saturday.
  17. If i'm not mistaken, I believe it's the night parade on saturday
