On February 25 SDCA will meet in the Bruton Memorial Library 307 W. McLendon St, Plant City Florida at 1:00 PM to discuss opening the Florida Region. SDCA's President Chris Ferrara along with Dik Buelow, SDCA's acting regional director will meet with all interested corps directors, Drum Lines, Color Guards and Bands that would like to participate in performing in this new venue. We need help finding community festivals with paid parades. During these festivals we will provide some of their entertainment by having an SDCA show. So we need community/festival, dates, locations and contact people. Also, if you know of any small corps or just a group of people playing music together we need their contact information. Dr. Tom Corso is moving along and shaking up interest for the kick off meeting set for Saturday November 5th in Erie PA. located at the Eire County Library 160 East Front Street, Erie, PA. All corps managers are invited to attend. Tom has already identified show locations for the 2012 season. There is no size limitation for you corps although 10 horns min is suggested and there is no max. SDCA will give you additional venues to perform and will not interfere with your involvement with DCA or DCI but will better prepare you for them if that is your goal.
