  1. I know! The look on her face was classic. She just looked like she was completely out of it. "Where am I? Why are these people booing? Is it me? Is it those funky dressed weirdos down on the field?....."
  2. My older brother is going to try out for the Reading Buccaneers next season. Hope he makes it!
  3. Hey, you never know! Lol, good point though it was a great snare break! Any other stories? One time, the last DCI show we went to last year, the Bluecoats were there. They walked on the field, and everyone started blooooing them. The lady a few seats a way from me looked absolutely clueless, and said "Well, there's no need to boo them!" People like them make my day!
  4. I don't think it will be able to crack the top 5. I'm looking at 7th or 8th for them this year. But I completely agree with CHSnare. It will definitely be a fan favorite this year. looking foward to it!
  5. No it is. my brothers friend was there. He was the one that pointed it out to me. He was sitting not too far away from the caption heads.
  6. Oh, no doubt. I have that show on my IPod, and it puts me to sleep alot at night. But I'm saying in general, their brass is usually chalk-full of sound!
  7. Basic throwdown of this thread. Post up your craziest experience you've seen or heard of at a DCI show. For example..... <sorry - no Youtube links - MikeN> Search for about 1:59, you can actually hear the brass caption head yell, "NOOOOO!" at the end of a long note because a soprano missed a release. Now, some may argue that a brass caption head isn't a fan, but it's a crazy experience nonetheless. I can't find the vid, but I think during the 2006 drum feature for the Bluecoats, right when they finished, and there was a split second of silence, you hear a guy yell OH MY GOD!!!! Any other wacky DCI tales? All are welcome!
  8. Sorry, but you're talking to an idiot. What do you mean?
  9. Thanks for the podcast. That's where I found out originally. And yes, I believe Jeff Fielder will have a small effect on on-field performance. Believe me, he has his ways!
  10. Simple yet stupid question. Everyone probably knows this, but Jeff Fielder is back in DCI working with the Santa Clara Vanguard. This is one of the reason I think SCV will fair particularly well this season. (Also, that brass is AMAZING). Anyway, how will Jeff go from bleeding green, to getting some Vanguard red in his bloodstream?
  11. If we could do that to get everywhere.... OR we could just be able to do that for DCI shows! It could be the law! "No payment for gas would be needed if drivers are attending a DCI show..."
  12. Thanks Tom! And StarVoyager I agree with. Wow, I'm really agreeable today!
  13. I"M WITH KNIGHTSBARI!!! If one of you guys don't get video.....watch out! I just checked out that story, and found out that it started 12 minutes ago. Oh, well. Scratch the video then. But if you can get some, PM me! I would love to hear it!
  14. Now this a show I'm looking foward to. Why? Like FlamInvert122 said, they're being real secretive, which means something good has to be in store. Wouldn't be surprised if they won, it of course being their 60th anniversary! Looking foward to seeing what the Cavvies have in store for us! SPLOOIE!!! Also, most of you already know this (most likely) but Jeff Fielder has gone to SCV.
  15. This one seems to intrigue me.....what's this about? It's gotta be something interesting if the drumline is lined up on the sideline, with a variety of different instruments playing in front of them.
  16. Looks like Regiment, BD, and Crown are all tied for first. Like Design hound said, I shouldn't be getting off topic. but anyone know the Crown's show for 08'? I haven't heard a thing yet......and just so i don't get off topic.....How about that Crown brass! Wow, what a hornline! I wonder how good it will be in this show!
  17. Thanks! Like I said, I'll try and catch some of their show, if not all of it, and try to post it up on the blog. No promises though.
  18. Where did you hear them? Do you know exactly what they're playing for the Blue Debut? But most importantly, where did you hear them!!!
  19. By the way, I'm also going to the Bluecoats Blue Debut. That doesn't really count, I guess, but they are playing bits of their show there. Also, it's about 1hr. 25 minutes away. Not bad.
  20. All of that info came from http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=15414, which came from dci.org. Did anyone know about this, or go up to see it? I'm interested if anyone did!
  21. Anyone else going to Blue Debut? There is a 95% chance I'll be going. I'll bring my camera and post the videos/recordings I can get. I'm very excited about seeing some new uniforms. Hope they're good....
  22. Yeah, sorry bout' the colors. School spirit really.....I changed it to a less eye burning color scheme!!
