I am the recruiter for Vigilantes Drum & Bugle Corps. www.vigilantescorps.org We have a lot of great things going on this season. Our drum line is shaping up to be extremely talented, and numerous. Our guard is leading the charge as far as learning the show, with brass and percussion trying to keep up. We have a superb Mello line. However, we are short on Contras and Baritones. We could really use you. You'll have a great time, and hopefully do some serious damage on the DCA circuit.

Well I got rapped in the Bari by a flag yesterday. I found that the large Bari mouthpiece absorbes the shock better than a Sop mouthpiece. Thumbs up!

Who cares about drums? We need BARITONE players! ;)

On the original subject of this thread, it was a great Memorial Day weekend camp. There's something to be said for rehearsing three days in a row. You can get into a groove. Can't wait until the 7th when we will pick up where we left off. Go Frontier!

This thread is very informative. I'm in the DCA Corps Frontier. We are playing Caravan. I've been thinking to myself - "This sounds really familiar. I think we played this in 1980 then cut it". So I ordered the State of the Art CD to find out. If I had known about this thread I could have had my answer. But I want the CD anyway. Also ordered State of the Art II. Checking the mail box every 10 minutes..... Those of you that posted props to the Caravan soloist you are right on. I think his name was Steve, but I can't quite remember.
