  1. This is not my area of expertise, but why the heck would YEA BoD ever agree to such a huge severance package in the first place?
  2. You have to have a pacer (public access to court electronic records) account. You can set-up here https://www.pacer.gov/ and they mail your token in the mail in about a week for that...they charge per page of info that you access. He filed suit against yea on 8/9/2018 and the case # is 5:2018cv03393 The fact that YEA has a pending civil lawsuit against them is not a good thing from a financial perspective...perhaps this might be one reason they haven't been given clearance so to speak form DCI...I'm only speculating though...
  3. Exactly! I'm just happy they have an anniversary to celebrate!
  4. So why doesn't DCI say..sorry to our UK customers...due to blah blah blah we can't ship to the UK blah blah blah...at least then everyone would not be guessing...
  5. I had no idea they weighed that much...
  6. Do marching members REALLY enjoy props? Honestly, I absolutely HATED the prop I had to carry on and (mostly) off the field before/after the show long before props were a thing BITD 1990...It was a very heavy base filled with sand which had a very tall gold flag which was inserted into the base to form a byzantine dome on the field...I put myself all out on that field every night I performed...it was a real ##### carrying that thing off the field after giving everything I had both physically and emotionally to the nights performance and back then A-town twice in one day...Well at least these days ya push most stuff around on wheels...lol
  7. You are lucky! I got blamed in the 2017 season for someone getting banned and they hunted me down and somehow found me on Facebook and threatened that they were going to get me. The most comical thing about it is I made no complaints about them, so in reality I had nothing to do with their banning in the first place...I'm still alive, but if I disappear maybe it was that nefarious guy from DCP...lol
  8. Drum Corps International...yeah right..I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them advertising that designation...

  10. I just read this... "There were multiple instances of sexually inappropriate emails being sent through the YEA! email server, including from Hopkins." Who ELSE was sending sexually inappropriate emails?
  11. I will attest and agree with your point that this was a extremely difficult thing for the Cadets themselves to get housing this past season. I spoke directly to the interim CEO at the Cadets. As a matter of fact they had secured housing and even lost it in the middle of the season. The last I recall is they skipped a local show because they were too far away from the show site.
  12. I seem to recall both the reporters praising YEA and the professionalism they exhibited after the GH scandal et al. Perhaps DCI corporate should hire the same PR firm...it might do them a bit a good at this juncture...
  13. Please see original post. "Following the introduction of the Interim Board, Timothy Osterbeck discussed the independent efforts to establish a Pioneer Alumni Association (PAA)."
  14. What a great interview with Michael Townsend at marching round table....this gave me a new found appreciation for color guard...and how to get students to achieve at such a high level...Well worth the listen IMO... https://www.marchingroundtable.com/2018/10/25/754-creating-a-competitive-color-guard/
  15. Guess you don't have to worry then about being doxxed....lol
  16. I agree with you and definitely don't condone the practice. But aren't some of us at DCP being a little bit judgmental here? Did DCP not "out" Scott Atchison awhile back in the same regard? ...dredging up his old court case that was "expunged"...I am not making excuses for him and don't even know the guy...I'm glad that guy is gone...just don't think we should be judging the behavior of other posters...
  17. I have no idea what "doxxed" means, but I'm sure it can't be good...
  18. Yikes! I didn't think this slug fest could get any dirtier...looks like the gloves are off now...credit card fraud...seriously....unbelievable
  19. Hoot - Holler - Cheer - Clap - Boo - Bloo whatever ...I don't care...I am actually a fan that sometimes gets a bit disruptive when I'm moved by something either visual/musical or both...I don't boo though and haven't really heard much of that in quite a number of years now anyway... If someone gets to their seat just a little late (the performance is just beginning) I don't mind that much either...I can't recall people leaving mid-performance, but I'm sure it happens... Believe it or not the most disruptive thing that gets me upset is corps staff during a performance...I'm not going to mention any specific corps, but they can be the most disruptive to me and others during performances (not every staff)...This has affected me numerous times because I'm sitting in VIP/premium seat sections and the staff either stand behind or along side me in the aisle. Conversation by corps staff BEFORE the corps performs does not bother me, but I do recall this season that a particular woman was irate against several staff members behind her and told them so...unfortunately a few of the staff people didn't take the high road which made the situation even worse as she was even nastier for the staff that came after them...In my opinion she was definitely overreacting for the most part, but seemed to hold on to a sense of entitlement because she was a paying ticket holder... Two years ago at Allentown, a few folks in the crowd got upset at one of the box judges for being too loud with his commentary...he was very cordial and tried to explain that he got really excited just like everyone else etc...it was a very professional response and he quieted himself down a lot. The funny thing about it is he was not disruptive to me at all and I was sitting right next to him. It seems to me that what one person might find disruptive...another doesn't and vice versa...
  20. Nothing more than moving more furniture around the field... More importantly...I'd really like to know how you have a NEGATIVE 1,159,040 REPUTATION.....lol
  21. Usually if a post disappears it was probably flagged by other members and the mods removed it...it's happened to me before...I don't really make to much of a big deal about it anymore...
  22. If it wasn't for SCV...I'd say plates are gone just like the 8 track tape...
  23. I was just thinking about PR today. I was a fanboy of the Regiment BITD. PR has indeed more problems then just the loss of instructors. My goodness Rennick has been gone for a REALLY LONG TIME and Shaw the same. We should be asking the question...why did they leave in the first place? Why is there such a huge staff turnover? It takes more than just two folks to make a difference. Regiment has been trying to find themselves these last few years and really have lost their way IMO. I almost feel like they've lost their identity altogether. I truly miss the regiment sound. It was very distinctive. Right now...it's gone...that is quite obvious...There needs to be some serious changes that make sense. An 11th place finish competitively is the worst placement since 1974. It pains me to even say that. I wish I had the answer or magic pill for them.
