I don't quite understand why people are blaming WGI for 'covering up' this incident. It was reported by the local news, so the community and the students know, and you can bet that any WGI instructors/judges, etc. in the loop know, too. It must be painful and humiliating enough for the community and those involved with the Choctaw band/colorguard program. Why should this be splashed across WGI's front page? It would be very unwise for them do so, and this is not necessarily everybody's business.
It's unfortunate that this type of incident happens alot when it comes to people involved with the pageantry arts.
