Thanks for the good words, it was a great weekend! Fotunately, the ran held out earlier today, raining before and after the Kingston parade, but not during!

I know that forming and leading ANY music organizaton is tough and only certain people have the skills and drive to stick with something, no matter what happens! Best of luck to you!

Hey, let's not leave out the Capital Brass! We're coming to kick some brass and have some fun and drinks while we're at it! I'm über pumped up to see everyone, especially some friends in other groups that I went to college with. See y'all there!

Probably because Tom's been on vacation this whole week and isn't back until later today, which is also why we didn't have a rehearsal this past week. Besides, the kid's probably looking for the opinion of people other than members of the corps. You go to Yankee Stadium and ask upper managment who they think the best team is baseball is, you're probably going to get some biased answers. Personally, I'm glad he's asking around. That way, he can see that we're not just tooting our horn (no pun intended) on our website.

If you're in the Capital District area of New York State, come up and watch SNAP (a subgroup of the Capital Brass!) represent the Mechanicville Fire Department in the Hudson Mohawk Fireman's Convention. We're taking over for another group who decided to bail out from the parade. This weekend is also Mechanicville's Family Day weekend! In Tallmadge Park, there will be games, food, music, and all sorts of goodness, followed by fireworks on Sunday night! Hope to see some of y'all there!

I think it's safe to say that I...I mean we, had a sweet time! The C-130 fly-overs were especially awesome! Looking up to see a massive Air Force cargo planet flying straight over us (from both behind and in front) at about six inches above the buildings was TOTALLY WICKED!!!!!

I have a degree in music education from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam as a trumpet major and am currently finishing my first year teaching music in the Schenectady City School District.
