  1. "I'd like to see SCV or Cadets do some of Van Der Roost's music (not Stonehedge, but the LOTR pieces specifically come to mind)" oh my....Cadets doing LOTR by Johan de Meij? perfect.
  2. cadets "running" company front....wow. phantom's ballad (flugal solo with gorgeous accompaniment). brought a few tears along with goose bumps at semis. they get me every time.
  3. "Now that DCI is shooing in HD, what was the comparison between this year and last year quality wise? Substantially better, little bit better, same, not as good, etc." substantially better. by the way, theater in Maumee, OH (just south of toledo) was about half full. good crowd. heading to indy tomorrow morning. will watch cadets rehearse for a few hours then on to the stadium. i have never been a fan of blue devils. their style just tends not to be my thing, however, i've always appreciated their performance level. anyway, after hearing (reading) peoples opinions on this year's BD show i expected not to enjoy it, but i did. might be my favorite from them... i'm a cadets fan (which might already be apparent), and it's my favorite show this year, but also enjoyed crown tonight and bluecoats. had a few students in the theater tonight and they liked bluecoats also.
  4. 48 for me. Ed Boxer: your reply "Somewhere between 40 and death" made me chuckle. That is a quote, if I'm not mistaken, from one of my favorite songs in the musical "Mame." Intentional?
  5. Need 1 ticket for world class semifinals. Happy to pay for a really good seat.
  6. Looking for 1 ticket for world class semifinals and finals. between 30's? the lower the better for me. email: novakrj2000@yahoo.com
  7. I've gone to many many shows, but never without a ticket. I'm considering driving to Allentown for a couple days. What is the likelihood that I'll find a decent seat (brass sound is my thing, so between 30's and low is good for me) for sale out front? Wasn't sure if it it was similar to a sporting event where people sell tickets they don't need out front? Thanks for any advice. P.S. long time lurker, new poster...hope this ended up in the right area. looked for a forum that was ticket-related but didn't see one.
  8. I was at rehearsal last night also. I was very surprised when I heard the audio clips, since I was at the show the night before. I really liked it. If they end up using them like they did last night it will be completely appropriate (in my opinion). I am not a big fan of "extras" but do like some surprises for effect. These short phrase clips do not detract from the book at all.
