Since a couple of people mentioned Jordan's posts from last night thought I'd let you in on a text I got from him about Allentown. "Not gonna lie to you Mom. Glad I'm marching this year. I would have missed playing here." Does my heart good!

Just had birthday dinner for my husband at Meridian Restaurant and Bar http://www.meridianonmeridian.com/ and enjoyed the food and atmosphere for a high end non-chain meal. The restaurant is about 8 miles directly north of downtown on Meridian and a couple miles south and west of Broad Ripple. For chocolate milk so good it is worth going to the source to get check out Trader's Point Creamery near Zionsville. Really sweet place to have lunch in an old Amish barn that was disassembled and moved to the current location. The cows "come home" at 4pm every day and you can watch them being milked. And ohhhhhhh the chocolate milk! Like a melted chocolate milk shake. http://www.traderspointcreamery.com/ Speaking of Zionsville, it is a cute little all American town with a red brick paved Main Street to stroll the art galleries http://www.zionsville.net/art.html, a couple of women's clothing shops (LesleyJanes and Charisma) and restaurants (http://www.cobblestonegrill.com/ eat outside on the brick patio and order the Pasta Mediterranean). If you are a fan of Nancy Noel art, she lives in Zionsville and her gallery, an old church is lovely to visit. http://www.nanoel.com/ I like Art in Hand co-op(http://www.artinhandgallery.com/) because it has inexpensive art from local artists. Visit Grapevine Village (http://www.grapevinecottage.com/) for a bottle or two of vino for your hotel room. Finish the visit with a chocolate (http://web.mac.com/babartol/Ganache/about_us.html) or two from Ganache on Pine Street just off Main.
