  1. It is very gratifying when members come on here and post messages like this. It lets us administrative types know we're doing things the right way. It also lets other members and our staff know that things are the way they're supposed to be. The Bushwackers are already rolling from 2005 into 2006 in high gear: - A large portion of the 2005 membership is returning. - A large portion of the 2005 staff is returning. - The show concepts being discussed are extremely EXCITING!! Folks, it's our 25th anniversary (and for Frankie Nash - it's the 20th anniversary of Bush's first championship!). Come on now - you know you really want to!!! Join Bush in 2006 - special moments, special friends, and making some more history!!
  2. It's here NOW!! Next staff annoucement should be early next week....stay tuned!!
  3. And though I cannot confirm at this time, I believe the Ball will be that night!! "Dance one year in, kiss one goodbye."
  4. Only one word is appropriate for this announcement....
  5. Steve was a great part of the Bushwacker past...a great arranger!! We are extremely fortunate to have another fantastic brass arranger on our Design Team - Dennis Argul. We are even more fortunate to have him back for 2006. Oops....there's a staff announcement!!! I guess I just screwed up the staff announcement schedule.
  6. Some really difficult choices!! Bush has played something from almost every idiom and done it well. I voted for jazz, but I love Russian composers!! Donny is right, though: the '94 show was lots of fun.
  7. Not only is the Open House location and date set, we've got most of our winter rehearsals ready to go as well. Rumor has it that the Bush Design Team has been burning up the phone lines with show ideas. Many fantastic ideas have been discussed covering a wide range of musical idioms - after all, the Bushwackers have had success over the years playing all types of music!! Stay tuned, folks!! #25 is gonna be special!!
  8. EVERYONE looks good in keyboards...well, unless you're Kilian. He looks good in Russian military grab!! But not as good as Kris Gerace...she would look good in a burlap sack!!
  9. A. There are ALWAYS transportation alternatives, Jeff!! B. Play jazz?! Hmmmmm...... C. You have a big mouth? In this corps, you'd have to get in line!!!
  10. Yeah, it was called "I Voted For It Before I Voted Against It."
  11. Now that's a TALL order!! Suffice it to say, 2006 will be a very special anniversary for the Bushwackers.
  12. Ahhhh, lots of time for scheduling, Jeff!! Time for Dan to make a phone call.... And thanks!!!
  13. Jeff, should I take this as the initial negotiations of your membership in the 2006 Bushwackers?
  14. Sorry, Jeff. I have dropped that argument...temporarily. Gotta recruit for what may prove to be the BEST Bushwacker season yet.
  15. Someone in the "know" should fill us in....I am a little hazy on how the whole Thermopolis thing developed.
  16. Good old Thermopolis!! It's still really funny when a spectator at a parade asks where the corps calls home and we say Thermopolis, Wyoming. "WOW!!!! That band such a long way for our 4th of July parade!!!"
  17. I love when my minions do my work for me.... Very good, my young apprentice.
  18. Nah, never too long of a drive!! We had people coming in from all over the East Coast - central PA, Maryland, etc. In the past, we've had people travel from the Chicago area, Rhode Island, Quebec, and Germany!! It's never too far when you want to be with your family.
  19. Thanks for the reminder, Frank!! He's right....2006 will also be the 20th anniversary of the Bushwackers winning our first show. It also happened to be our first championship!!
  20. The 2006 Bushwacker vintage may prove to be the BEST in quite some time!!
