Unfortunately, all of the top corps are composed of out of state people, who are usually 20/21 years old beacuse they want to be in it. It's mainly because of that that those corps are successful. Corps like Academy, who tries to keep everything local, are behind mostly because of that. It would even out the playing field a lot if, say, all of the corps had to have a certain percentage of local people in it. Look at Phantom, with maybe 5% of the corps (probably less, in fact) from in the area..... because the higher corps keep winning, people want to go to them, they get the cream of the crop, while the not top 12 corps are stuck.

very true, each corps has their own style. there's no real way to have a completely unbiased competition. I don't really agree ith the scores this year (troopers should NOT have gotten 12th, sorry troopers fans, but Academy and colts were clearly better) and that's obviously biased there because they're an older corps. As for the general topic, I'm an Academy peep, and I know we won't win this year. Nothing like that happens. It sucks, bias sucks, buit right now there's no solution
