1974 Belleville Black Knights Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy...VERY crowd friendly!

As a new member, humor me please! The reference to the dark to the light brought back memories of the 60's when I marched with the Black Knights (an honor!). There was an annual contest in Il at the State Fair held on the racetrack in front of the grandstands. Had to REALLY shrink the drill down to size! If I remember, it was 1963 when we marched from total darkness into the grandstand lights to take the starting line. Lined across the track in maybe 4 or 5 fronts, led by the guard rifles doing butterfly flips with chrome plated Enfield Carbines (read HEAVY) and the drumline simply clicking a beat. When we entered the lights, the crowd flipped out. Gives me goosebumps remembering it! Yeah, the Black and White looks great in the dark and light! We finished 2nd between Cavies and Royal Airs. Couple of .10ths if I remember. Good times!
