  1. So wonderful to see a guard that was so great and memorable back when I marched in high school (early '90's) return to greatness in such a huge way. What a great program that showcased the talents they are known for! Loved watching retreat on the Fan Network and seeing their tear-streaked faces and standing so tall with pride. Congrats to South Shore!
  2. Are y'all kidding me? I just watched the second half of SA Finals on the Fan Network and there was a lot of great ENTERTAINING stuff in there.
  3. Y'all named that tune in TWO NOTES! :) Impressive! Thank you!
  4. Any Pride-o-philes out there know the sources of the soundtrack to their show "Sideshow"? Specifically, the music that starts about 4:20 on their Finals performance on the Fan Network, with the accordian and the singing. A random request, I know, but I figured this forum would be an excellent place to ask! Already been all around the WWW trying to Google this little factoid up.
  5. I have been a lurker on this forum for over a year now, and finally registered just so that I could tell y'all how much I thoroughly enjoyed ALL of the WGI Austin finalists on Saturday. All of the show concepts were engaging/entertaining, and the soundtracks diverse - particularly Scholastic A Class, which, let's face it, can be the most mind-numbing class of all. Even ballads that could have been boring were approached with a fresh eye and a conceptual twist. In past years, awareness of my bleacher butt-ache has come to the forefront of my guard-watching experience at some point during the proceedings, but I was so drawn in by everyone's shows I barely noticed the butt-ache this year! Truly, I left the show happy and inspired. Thank you, designers and performers, for putting on a fantastic show! And a big ol' pffffft to that thread about how all the fun has been sucked out of the activity. We have some awesomely entertaining winterguard going on down here in Texas, I am here to tell you.
